Fantastic San Francisco photo, courtesy of the best day spa around!

Blanche Shamoon, Managing Director of my favorite day spa, Tea Garden Springs in Mill Valley, California, took this photo from one of the many hiking trails in the Marin Headlands and graciously allowed me to use it. Our real estate is pricey in Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo counties, but the amenities are worth it to us! On your next visit to the San Francisco Bay Area, take time for a spa visit after a hike in the redwoods or open ridges--you'll be glad you did!

Do take time to check out the web site, read the practitioners' biographies and the wonderful treatments they offer.

When you visit, tell Blanche "hello" from me!

Hi Lottie, I love San Francisco, it is one of my favorite vacation spots.  You are lucky to be there all the time.  I always jokingly refer to the golden gate as "my bridge" when it appears on tv or the movies.

Hi Tony and Darcy - this IS a marvelous place to play. Have you visited here? If not, you might want to add it to your "dream list." Glad you enjoyed the photo

Liz and Liz, you really should put Tea Garden Springs on your list of places to go on your next trip here. You can easily incorporate it with a visit to Stinson Beach, Muir Woods, or any one of a number of hikes. I'm always happy to share some of my favorite off-the-beaten track activities.

Anthony, you live close enough to enjoy a visit to TGS, or give a certificate to a favorite person--you'll earn Brownie points for good gift giving! (I always put it on my gift idea list!)

You are correct in your title, Lottie.  That is a fantastic photo of SF.  We don't see too many from across the bay like this.

Gina, I'm glad you like the photo. To me,it captures the beautiful and almost mystical feel of the City.

And Sharon, you're close enough to Mill Valley to enjoy the spa as well as the photo. You have a lovely spot to call home; I grew up next door, in Orinda.

Well, Sharon, I just realized you are in Indiana!! I guess that's a bit far for a visit to the spa. We have a Lafayette, CA, near us.

I only wish I had more time. This spa is a solid hour from San Carlos, the heart of my working area, so it's a real treat when I get there. Hiking, I'm happy to say, is a much more frequent event--that's how I stay sane!
