Our first day of winter includes 18 inches of snow.  I think I like yours better.

What a picture thanks for the post.

Hi Kathy, It's a 3-hour drive to the Sierra Nevadas--plenty of snow there! LOVE your Christmas photo--is that one you took? Merry Christmas!

Cindy, 18" inches of snow sounds just about perfect for snow angels, a snowman or two, and perhaps a good-natured snowball fight! Enjoy your day!

Heather and Jeff, glad you liked the picture. It was very invigorating taking an hour's run here early yesterday morning. No snow, but cold, crisp air!

Even with lots of sunshine, it's COLD, Liz. Will you have a white Christmas? Whatever, white or not, I hope it's a fabulous day for you. Merry Christmas?

Lottie

Hope you have a great Christmas. Love the unusual plants in the photo.

Great shot- There is a "Cell Phone Pix" group on AR as well. I take most of my pictures with my Blackberry as well. Often surprising how well it does!

I never realized a Blackberry could take photos of this quality - son of a gun!!!

Trey, Merry Christmas to you, too! Wish I knew the name of that orange spiky plant, but don't. In the summer the bluffs are covered with brilliant pink blossoms of the low-growing ice plant.

Hi Steve - I think you introduced me to the cell phone pix group -- I posted my earlier blog about Pacific Grove there.

Karen, I'm having great fun with the camera on my Blackberry. It's always with me so lends itself well to a quick shot whenever I'm struck with an idea.

Happy holidays to you both.

Lottie,

Great picture. Love the brilliant colors. Wouldn't have winter any other way. :)

No White Christmas for you, either, right Steve? Doesn't decrease the pleasure in the day, though. Looking forward to more of your posts in 2010.

Fabulous picture, Lottie

The Blackberry (if you have something like the Curve) does take good pictures, especially with higher resolution than the iphone. That's one thing I miss about my Blackberry which I gave to Gary, who looks at this powerful gadget as "merely" a phone to talk on.

Yes, Pacita, I do have the Curve. My mind has recently switched to thinking of this as "my computer that makes calls" rather than "phone." Love it!
