This community is really the creme de la creme!  It is unbelieavable.  Residents include many famous celebraties and persons, movie stars, statesmen, authors, musicians, and others.  But beware of sticker shock.  They wouldn't tell me the fees the first time I visited them.  It's one of those "You can't afford it if you have to ask" situations.  Here is another situation where Long Term Care Insurance would help someone who wants to preserve lifestyle while receiving care.

Hi Skip -- everything you say is true. It's a fabulous place, but certainly not the only choice. I've posted information about The Elms in San Carlos, Woodside Terrace in Redwood City, Glenwood in Menlo Park, all wonderful places. My next post of this series will talk about The Sequoias in Portola Valley.

It's marvelous to see the variety of options one has -- with research and preparation, a good fit can be found. And definitely, long-term care insurance should be part of most everyone's retirement plan.

Thanks for your comments.

Hey, you might want to do tours of these places.  SRES Realtors need to see these communities and become more familiar with them.  You're doing a great service.

Hi Lottie ~ Wow! What a beatiful retirement community! The pictures are stunning.  I think college towns make for great places for senior communities - always something interesting going on.

Hi Skip,

One of my plans for 2010 is to use my FlipCam more regularly. You're right, I should feature these Senior communities. Thanks for the idea.
