Mystery Photo Contest: Who Can Identify This Location?

Mystery Photo Contest: Who Can Identify This Location?

Mystery Photo, Santa Clara County, California

This month's contest is sure to draw lots of answers from folks far and wide. The photo was taken at one of the San Francisco Peninsula's best known places, and is a different view of a familiar landmark.

If you think you can identify the scene and give me the location all you need to do is call, email or leave your answer below by June 9. Names of everyone answering correctly will be entered into the drawing for free movie tickets.

Join in the fun!

The tall structure is the Stanford Bell Tower.  I'm not sure if you need us to be more specific...

Hello all! Since others will still be coming here from Facebook and elsewhere, the answer won't be posted until June 9. Check back then, and know that you'll be entered into the drawing if you are correct with your guesses.

Thanks for playing!

Hi Lottie,

Love the photo.  What a neat way to promote an area.

Hi Judi, Hi Rick - the Mystery Photo Contest goes out in my monthly newsletter; usually the places are less prominent, but I thought this one would be fun for everyone, including my friends here on Active Rain. Thanks for weighing in and for playing.

I'll post the answer on June 10!

Lottie, I know I've told you this in a previous comment, but this is such a GREAT way to promote your area.

Stanford's Hoover Tower from a different perspective ...also showing part of the Quad and the Leland Stanford Jr. Memorial Chapel.

(I know that campus very well!!  I took my SAT tests there while in high school, later took classes there, and worked there for a few years recently.  It's one of the most beautiful campuses in the country!)
