Here in San Mateo County, California, as elsewhere, kids are out of school, graduation ceremonies have been held -- folks are planning summer vacations. Excitement is high. Vacation dates are set at work. Maybe this is the year you visit Europe. Or perhaps Hawaii. Or a cruise.
But what if life throws a curve ball and at the last minute plans must change?
We don't want to worry about the financial loss that could occur when a big trip has been planned and illness, injury, or some other unforeseen incident occurs. Many companies offer different types of traveler's insurance. A comprehensive plan can provide:
- travel arrangement protection
- medical protection
- baggage protection
- worldwide emergency assistance
So, when you're planning your special trip, talk with your insurance agent and learn more about different options available to give you peace of mind.
Bon voyage!

Lottie: Exceedingly good information! My wife did marketing for a local travel agency prior to September 11th, 2001 ... and travel-insurance was always presented as an option for clients. Accidents and emergencies do arise ... and having the insurance you mention saved many-a-heartbreak and was well worth the cost on many occassions. Having this discussion with your travel agent or insurance person is a very wise idea!

Good advice Lottie. School is out already? Out here they still have about 2 weeks or so.
Hi Debra -- lots of schools here had graduation ceremonies last week; this is the last week for many elementary schools. Schools start around the 3rd week of August.
Gene, the importance of this type of insurance was brought home to me a couple of months ago when a client and friend of mine had a marvelous trip to Vietnam and other Asian cities planned, but medical issues caused them to cancel the trip about 2 weeks prior to leaving. He missed the vacation, but at least has that 14K or whatever back in his account to use another time.
Lottie! Doesn't surprise me a bit that you hang with a smart crowd ...

That is some good advice Lottie. I love the picture too. Have a great week!
Hi Dan. Glad you appreciate the point made, and glad you like the photo. That was one of my favorite pictures from a trip to Switzerlnd a few years ago.
