Bus man's holiday - Realtor heads to San Francisco on Sunday afternoon
This weekend was an interesting blend of activities, the type of weekend that I most enjoy--a meeting with a prospective buyer, putting a combo box on a listing so painters could get to work Monday morning and work their magic; a bit of hand-holding with nervous sellers, computer work and emails to and from various clients, prospective buyers, colleagues.
Diligent work in the mornings allowed the afternoons and evenings to be spent with family, including a visiting relative.
Today we left San Carlos around Noon, and headed to San Francisco for an afternoon of laughter and fun. We had a glorious sunny, barely breezy, no-fog afternoon, so first headed to Twin Peaks for a 360-degree view of the City.
Then, what do you think a Realtor who loves to hike would do ---
park the car in Pacific Heights, hit the streets on foot, and take in Open Houses!!!
We saw 5 places, the most elegant and amazing of which is this one, at 2737 Divisadero Street, listed by Gloria Smith of Sotheby's International Realty. She and her co-host, Thomas Biss, also of Sotheby's International Realty, gave us a marvelous tour of this elegant, five-level home (with elevator serving 4 of the levels!) Without a doubt, this is one of the premier view homes around.
I took this snapshot of the view from the master bedroom; the view from the family room one level higher was equally superb, as you might imagine.
After walking up and down the hills of Pacific Heights, up and down numerous staircases in charming Victorian homes and condos, as well as 2737 Divisadero Street, we headed over to Fillmore Street, and one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants, La Mediterranee, for a delicious early supper, then headed back down the Peninsula and San Carlos, about a 45-minute drive.
So many things to do when you live here on the mid-Peninsula or Silicon Valley! And this January day was a great time for some exploring.
