Moving from your San Mateo County home? Need a Bit of Help?

Emptying a house where you've lived for 50+ years isn't easy, as the family of my client experienced last month. Many decisions need to be made, lots of packing is necessary and for a while it seems impossible.

However, help came from the Salvation Army, who sent their truck to the house to pick up furniture and household items.

What a welcome sight that was, with the two polite, helpful men who loaded it all in the truck. It was a win-win for all -- my clients' problem was solved, and the furnishings are on their way to others who can use them.

If you live in San Mateo County and have furniture you no longer need, contact the Salvation Army at 1-800-SA-TRUCK or on the web at www.satruck.org and see if they can help you, too.

The Salvation Army has been saving people from problems of too much or too little for a long time now. It seems to be an organization you can trust.
