Cell Phones Are Open To The Public!

Debra Walsh has given us a timely reminder. I just called to add my cell phone to the do-not-call list. It took less than 1 minute, and will save much time, money and frustration.  You might want to do the same.

debra walsh real estateAre you receiving sales or spam calls on your cell phone?  Cell phone numbers have been released to telemarketing companies which allows you to receive calls from them - calls you will be CHARGED FOR. To prevent this, call this number from your cell phone:  888-382-1222.  This will add you to the DO NOT CALL list. You may also do this from your house phone.

But remember, you must be on the phone you want added to the list WHEN YOU MAKE THE CALL.  This phone number is the National Do Not Call Registry and takes just seconds to complete.  It will block your number from telemarketers for the next 5 years after about 30 days.  You may also visit the Do Not Call website.

Thanks for sharing. I just made sure mine was updated. It took less than 30 seconds.

Lottie - Thanks for the tip. I dialed the number, went through this stupid "Press one for English" and then punched in the number and it was it. How cool

Hi Sara -- yep, about 30 seconds was all. Good for all of us Type A's.

Hi Fred, thanks for the caution. The number is real; I registered my phone. What is the hoax--that spammers/commercial callers can call the cell phone if not registered? I guess I don't see what's wrong here.

Thanks for that great info!  I will be sharing that with my friends and family.  I am already on that list...

Thanks for the repost Lottie.  This is great information.  I've been getting spam garbage for the past several months on my cell and my home phone.  It seems to be increasing lately.  Thanks again.

Thank you for the reblog Lottie!  Just a reminder it takes a few days to take effect.  I got some spam calls today!
