What a Difference a Day Makes in San Francisco

What a Difference a Day Makes in San Francisco

October is one of the most beautiful months of the year in San Francisco. Yesterday--and most of last week--was no exception. This is the view that greeted me once the sun was up:
View from condo at Jackson and Van Ness
Today is a different story:
View from condo at Jackson and Van Ness-foggy day
Interesting and mysterious; fog horns sounding, noise muted. I suspect the view will be back in a couple of hours. Just like life-always changing.

--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!

Lottie,  What a great analogy, and love the pics!  I can't tell you how much Lee and I loved visiting San Francisco last month.  It was above and beyond what we expected.  We were lucky in that the fog stayed out for most of the time and we got to be real tourists for a day and a half!!

I remember those days when I used to live and go to school in the bay area.  Made me want to stay in bed all day on those cold foggy mornings!  Have a great day!

Pam, next time you're in SF, let me know. It would be fun to say 'hi' in person.

Jennifer, the fog looks cold, but this one is quite warm. Strange weather for sure. Still foggy an hour later!

What a great view to wake up to (in your first picture).  Here in the Olympia area, waking up to fog usually - often at least - means we will have sunshine later - though how much later is hard to predict!

Yes, the coast of California had a very foggy weekend--I took a lovely walk in the fog yesterday.

What a beautiful view! I also would like to wake up to that view!

Hi Sussie, Norma, and Nancy - clear view or fog -- interesting either way (although clear wins, in my book.)
