Generosity is Alive and Well at Active Rain Meet up, Emeryville, CA
Yesterday's highlight for many of us was the Active Rain Meet Up in Emeryville, CA, organized by Kathleen Daniels. About 20 of us, representing most of the San Francisco Bay Area counties, gathered for a mid-day networking celebration at the Elephant Bar.
Since my office, Today Sotheby's International Realty in San Carlos, CA, was collecting food and monetary donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank, it seemed natural to ask my Active Rain colleagues if they wished to support such a good cause and spread some joy and happiness with others who could use a boost.
Second Harvest is the main food bank serving San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, where one in 10 people come to them for food assistance.
In true Active Rain fashion, people happily pitched in to help others.
Today, I gave checks totaling $315.00 to my broker!!
What else can I say? I love the spirit of Active Rain!
