Angel Cortez gives the WOW factor to homes in the San Carlos CA area

Giving the WOW factor to homes for sale in the San Carlos CA area: a shout-out to Angel Cortez, Angel's Gardening Service, Inc, 650-222-8989.

Giving the WOW factor to homes for sale in the San Carlos CA area, as elsewhere, is super important, but it's not surprising that sellers who have lived in the house many years can't see that their house is a bit tired and in need of sprucing up.

One way that has been effective for me is to show them through pictures. I'll take a few photos of the house to include with a market analysis--when one sees the house in a picture, it often becomes easier for a seller to see the overgrown landscaping, the tired paint, etc.

Once they realize that, they are usually amenable to working with my team of professionals to make the magic happen.

Having a team to help make the transformation from blah to WOW is essential, and Angel Cortez owner of Angel's Gardening Service, Inc, 650-222-8989 brought curb appeal to this house as he has to many of my listings, from San Mateo to Cupertino. Headquartered in Mountain View, Angel and his crew perform their magic up and down the peninsula, so don't hesitate to ask if he can help you.

If you call him for assistance, give him my name, would you please? And if you'd like to know more about steps I take to help you sell your home, I'd be happy to talk with you.

PS: This home sold for more than 9% over list price, thanks in part to the excellent work of Angel Cortez and the other professionals who created that WOW factor!

Lottie - landscaping can certainly detract as much or more than it can add especially overgrown landscaping as depicted in your photos.

Curb appeal is like the wrapping and bow on a home.  Landscapers definitely help make that part of a home's appeal.

Your are right the landscaping is the WOW factor! I am sure you had multitudes of people going to see this home just because of the landscaping.

I can't believe that is the same house before and after photos.  It is nothing short of amazing what some landscaping updates can do for the curb appeal of a home.

Well said Lottie and a great post highlighting some of the "behind the scenes" that go in to making a good listing great. Things are moving fast and for a premium in today's Bay Area market.

Lottie - as the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words.  In this case a couple thousand words.   Very nice pictures.

Kathy, we could barely see the house from the street when we started.

Jennifer, landscaping really can set the stage and make people anxious to get out of the car and inside.

Sussie, even the neighbors commented on how great it looked.

Doug B - pruning the olive tree was huge; not only did the house itself magically appear, but the tree became a beautiful focal point from the living room as well as from the street.

Doug A - yes, the market is moving fast, but sellers still need to spruce up their property to make it appealing.

Jim - I'm glad I had 'before' pictures to go with the 'after' shots. They get the point across well I think.

Dear Lottie,

Angel sounds like a true angel. Too bad, he does not live in our neck of the woods. Great improvement on the curb appeal.
