Walt Disney Family Museum exhibit: Creation of the film, Snow White

The Presidio of San Francisco is a unique spot in the City, a destination for locals and visitors alike. One of the many draws is The Walt Disney Family Museum. Don't mistake this for Disneyland or Disney World - this is a look at the man, the visionary whose talent has given many generations so much pleasure and mental stimulation.

Snow White, Walt Disney Family Museum SF

Featured now is a special exhibition celebrating Walt Disney's first feature-length animated film - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. You'll find over 200 works of art, including concept, animation and character drawings, story sketches, pencil renderings, colorful cels, and more.

Learn more about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Creation of a Classic and how to get tickets for this exhibition.

For a change of pace during this busy, noisy season, I invite you to spend an afternoon taking in the natural beauty of The Presidio, learning about the history of the area, and capping it off with a visit to The Walt Disney Family Museum and the exhibition of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Lottie,  I think Walt Disney's vision is on par with Steve Job's vision ... different visions for sure but visions that were well executed and beyond and continue to be lived and relived many years later.  I gave my son Steve Jobs Autobiography for Christmas ... he loved it!  There is a lot of Silicon Valley history in the book ... history that extends beyond Apple.

Lottie - The Walt Disney Family Museum looks very cool.   I will have to check it out soon.  I always find something new on my trips to The City.

Lottie, I agree, this looks like a great way to spoend some quality holiday time.  This year I bought my grandchildren Fantasia.  Can't wait to hear about their reactions to it.

The Walt Disney Family Museum is one of San Francisco's lesser known attractions. Keep it in mind when visiting here.
