Labor Day Yacht Racing on San Francisco Bay, 2013

Yacht Racing on San Francisco Bay, 2013

Today was the last race of the Louis Vuitton Cup, with Team Emirates from New Zealand handily winning the best of 13 races over Italy's Luna Rosa. Team Emirates will go on to vie for the America's Cup, competing against America's Oracle Team.

Before those races begin on September 7, 2013, there are exciting races to watch over Labor Day weekend, 2013 -- the Red Bull Youth America's Cup teams.

With 10 teams from numerous countries competing, this is bound to be exciting:

Hi Lottie-yes, exciting races indeed.  Speeds to 50 miles an hour!!!  Unreal.

Have you had a chance to see any of the Louis Vuitton events, Lloyd? It's been fun, but personally I like the regatta format of the RBYAC races.

These yacht races are a lot of fun to watch, Anna. It took me by surprise. Looking forward to seeing more.

Roger, you can!! Races are streamed; also recorded. Here's the schedule.

Debra, in person is fun, but one really sees better watching the races as they are being streamed. Check it out.

Lottie - What a great way to spend Labor Day weekend in San Francisco than by watching the yacht races!

Lottie, Yacht races of San Francisco bay sounds like my kind of spectator sport. Some wine some food a good vantage point and you have all the makings of a memorable weekend.

Hi Laura, watching 10 catamarans racing should be a beautiful, thrilling spectacle.

Nancy, I like the way you think!
