By now anyone who is at all interested in the America's Cup race held on San Francisco Bay has heard it all:
- the stunning come-from-behind win of Oracle Team USA
- the outstanding sailing exhibited by New Zealand's Team Emirates and by Oracle Team USA
- the speed of the incredible boats
- the final race with the lead see-sawing back and forth between two closely matched teams
Yesterday I stepped away from work for a 3-hour noontime break and headed to San Francisco's Marina Green to sit in the stands and watch the final race. The excitement of the crowd was palpable, and contagious. There were heart-stopping moments, and moments of great joy. When it was finished, I was exhausted, and I wasn't the one sailing those amazing boats!
Maybe you can get a little taste of the day from this very amateur, unedited video clip.
My hat's off to all the America's Cup contenders, super athletes who have introduced many of us to an incredible sport.
