The California Lifestyle

The California Lifestyle - what does that say to you?

California Living

To many of us in Northern California, whether it is Sonoma County, pictured here, San Mateo County or elsewhere, outdoor living typifies our lifestyle. When we're not out bicycling, hiking, running or strolling, we chill on our decks , or share them with friends. and enjoy the birds, the trees, the proximity to nature. A well-placed deck refreshes our souls--and can be used all year round!

I should show you a picture of me huddled around the heater, that is my WA lifestyle as of late!!

Kerrie, there's nothing wrong about enjoying a fire in the fireplace! But when the weather is right -- decks!

Lottie,  That picture says ... come hang out have a glass of ice tea or wine and just chill here.  It's a given for me that being in nature does refresh our souls.

As someone new to the CA lifestyle, I can really appreciate this.  I've spent the majority of my free time outdoors and am blown away by the beauty and tranquility.  Hope to make it up North soon to do some exploring.

Lottie, you summed up why I love California.  It is just phenomenal what we can do here at anytime of the year!  It boggles my mind and yet I love it!

Kathleen, my client will be selling her Sonoma County home next year and shared some pictures--I loved this one and am happy she let me use it. It speaks volumes about living here.

John, I'm glad you're enjoying life in California. Come up to our area soon, and explore some more!

Melanie, there's a lot to love about California!

Be careful or you will have all of us moving to California. It is too chilly for decks in Maryland.

Lottie, wonderful photo that really expresses the California Lifestyle. We have friends that we visit regularly in SoCal and one of our great enjoyments is spending time enjoying a glass of wine and talking while sitting on their beautiful redwood deck.

Great picture - and yes, my first thought is always outdoor living - in the sunshine!!  (especially if we are having one of our week long cloudy, rainy stretches here). Luckily the sun is out brightly today!

Lottie, so tempting to know that you are enjoying your deck all year.  Here we are getting ready to 'hunker-down' till spring.  Well, that just means we don't sit out on the deck, but we do love the outdoors.  We still hike/walk or ski or fly to warm, sunny locations like California.

Now that looks like a great place to relax at the end of a long day Lottie.

Roy, come on out, we'll make room for you!

Will, thank you!

Valerie, yesterday we had our first rain in months, so decks will wait for a couple of days.

Nancy, I thought the same--the picture just screamed "California Lifestyle to me. I'm glad you get to experience it with your friends.

Posted by Lottie Kendall, Helping make your real estate dreams a reality (Compass) about 5 years ago

Laura, yep, we're pretty lucky here.

Nancy, I think you sent your rain to us yesterday--decks will wait a day or so.

Mary, I know you enjoy your outdoor living--and I enjoy reading about it. One thing I can't do in San Francisco is step outside and enjoy cross-country ski time.

Jim, doesn't that deck look inviting? Stanislaus County must have it's share of decks and oak trees, too.

Posted by Lottie Kendall, Helping make your real estate dreams a reality (Compass) about 5 years ago

Lottie - There are lots of oak trees in Stanislaus County.  In fact the city of Oakdale was named after the many oak trees in the area.

I thought I remembered that, Jim. Oakdale is a nice valley town.
